Bali-made wines are once again making waves on the international stage. PT Hatten Bali Tbk, Indonesia’s pioneering wine producer, has secured a remarkable series of victories at two of the world’s most prestigious competitions, the China Wine & Spirits Awards (CWSA) 2025 and the AWC Vienna Summer Tasting 2025.
At the CWSA 2025, several of Hatten’s signature labels brought home Gold Medals, including Aga Red, Aga Rosé, Aga White, Jepun Sparkling Rosé, Pino de Bali, Sweet Alexandria, and Tunjung Brut Sparkling. The achievement highlights Hatten’s ability to transform Bali’s unique terroir into wines that resonate with international judges and consumers alike.
Meanwhile, at the AWC Vienna 2025 – the world’s largest officially recognized wine competition featuring over 5,300 wines from 41 countries – Hatten Bali earned further acclaim. Gold medals went to Pino de Bali and Sweet Alexandria from Hatten Wines, as well as the Shiraz from Two Islands Reserve. Silver medals were awarded to Aga Red, Aga White, Blanc de Blancs, and Cabernet Sauvignon, while the Aga Rosé, Jepun Sparkling Rosé, and Chardonnay received a Seal of Approval.

Global Recognition for Balinese Craftsmanship
Both competitions are known for their rigorous judging processes: CWSA with its Triple Blind-Tasting™ system, and AWC Vienna with its strictly anonymous evaluation by an esteemed international jury. These results firmly place Hatten Bali among the region’s most respected wine producers.
“These awards reflect not only the quality of our wines but also the dedication, creativity, and vision of our team,” said IB Rai Budarsa, President Director of PT Hatten Bali Tbk.
Echoing this sentiment, IGAA Reditya Candradewi, Marketing Manager, added: “Competing among thousands of outstanding wines worldwide, we are proud to see Bali-crafted wines recognized on such a global stage.”
A Pioneer in Southeast Asia’s Wine Industry
Founded in 1994, Hatten Wines has grown into a trailblazer of winemaking in Southeast Asia. The company today manages four distinctive brands:
• Hatten Wines – crafted from locally grown Balinese grapes.
• Two Islands Wines – made with premium Australian grapes vinified in Bali.
• Two Islands Reserve – small-batch, single-vineyard selections.
• Dragonfly Wines – approachable, everyday wines designed for wider markets.
Looking ahead, PT Hatten Bali is preparing to launch new brands in early 2026—labels that have already earned Gold and Silver medals at CWSA 2025 and AWC Vienna 2025 before their official debut.

From Sanur to the World
Operating from its base in Sanur, Bali, the company oversees more than 60 hectares of vineyards in Singaraja while running The Cellardoor, a hub for wine education and tasting experiences. Since going public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange under the ticker WINE in 2023, PT Hatten Bali has further cemented its reputation as a global contender.
The double triumph at CWSA and AWC Vienna not only celebrates the artistry of Hatten’s winemakers but also reaffirms Bali’s place on the world wine map. From its humble beginnings to international acclaim, Hatten Bali proves that wines from Indonesia can stand proudly alongside the finest labels worldwide. TS-02
