Bali has once again proven itself as a stage for coffee creativity. After more than a month of searching for the best creations, Milklab Bali Café Creation 2025 crowned its champions during the Final Showdown at 70° Fahrenheit Café, Jimbaran, on Wednesday (27/8/2025).
Since July 20, thousands of coffee lovers across Bali have supported their favorite cafés through online voting, tasted special menus, and even lined up for Free Coffee Days at Level 21 Mall and Living World Denpasar. The enthusiasm spoke volumes: the plant-based coffee movement is stronger than ever on the Island of the Gods.
Local Baristas Shine
The final round featured 12 cafés presenting their best creations before a world-class jury, including Anthony Douglas (World Barista Champion 2022) and Willy Sidewalk (Barista Competition Surabaya 2011). Contestants were judged not only on taste, but also on storytelling, presentation, and the overall experience.
The spotlight belonged to three winners:
🥇 Yoga Diasa (Tlaga Singha) – First Place, IDR 10 million + one-year Milklab supply
🥈 Andre (Handi Restaurant) – Second Place, IDR 7.5 million + six-month Milklab supply
🥉 Ngurah Andi (Dimare Restaurant) – Third Place, IDR 5 million + three-month Milklab supply
In addition, five lucky voters each walked away with IDR 1 million in prizes.

“Taste of Nusantara”: Tradition Meets Trend
One of this year’s highlights was the launch of six drinks under the theme “Taste of Nusantara”, blending local ingredients with Milklab Almond and Oat milk. From spice-infused coffee to refreshing coconut-based creations, each recipe embodied a harmony between Indonesian heritage and modern café culture.
“With the rising demand for plant-based drinks in Bali, we wanted to show that coffee is a limitless space for exploration,” said Anthony Douglas, Global Brand Ambassador for Milklab.
More Than Just a Competition
For Milklab, this event was never just about finding winners—it was about giving local baristas a stage and strengthening Bali’s coffee ecosystem. Collaboration with cafés, brands, and coffee communities remains central to Milklab’s vision.
“Collaboration is our soul. Every activity is an opportunity to grow together with the coffee community,” said the Milklab Indonesia team.

The Plant-Based Coffee Trend in Bali
Bali has long been celebrated for its café culture. Now, with the surge in demand for plant-based options—almond, oat, soy, coconut, even macadamia—baristas are finding new canvases for experimentation. Milklab Bali Café Creation 2025 is living proof that plant-based coffee is no longer just a lifestyle trend; it’s becoming an integral part of Bali’s coffee culture.
