The Chairwoman of the Social Welfare Activities Coordinator (K3S) of Badung Regency, Mrs. Rasniathi Adi Arnawa, conducted a home visit to Kadek Devita Maharani, a young girl suffering from a malignant tumor, in Banjar Badung, Gulingan Village, Mengwi District, on Saturday (21/2).
This activity is part of K3S Badung Regency’s community development and empowerment program for vulnerable groups, which has become one of its main priorities. The program aims not only to improve the quality of life of beneficiaries but also to provide emotional and tangible support to those facing difficult circumstances. Through close collaboration with partner foundations engaged in health and social welfare, the assistance provided is expected to ease the family’s economic burden and support Kadek Devita’s daily needs.
Mrs. Rasniathi Adi Arnawa’s visit was intended to offer encouragement and provide assistance in the form of basic necessities, as well as financial support to be used for Kadek Devita’s ongoing medical treatment. In addition, through this visit, K3S Badung Regency sought to directly listen to the family’s needs and ensure that existing assistance programs are well-targeted and deliver maximum benefit.
“We are committed to continuously safeguarding the welfare of vulnerable communities, especially children who are facing serious health challenges. Collaboration with various parties is essential so that the assistance provided can be more comprehensive. Regarding the plan to provide a prosthetic hand, we will coordinate with the relevant agencies,” she stated.
She further conveyed that the vulnerable community development program will continue across various areas in Badung Regency, focusing on children, the elderly, and underprivileged families experiencing health problems or economic hardship.
Also present during the visit were Badung DPRD Member I Made Rai Wirata, the Head of Mengwi District, administrators of the Mengwi District Family Welfare Movement (TP PKK), representatives of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Badung Branch, as well as representatives of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) Forum throughout Mengwi District and the Badung Care Movement.
