The celebration of Nyepi Day in Bali is no longer seen solely as a day of silence for Hindus, but has also evolved into a reflective experience increasingly sought by travelers. The staycation trend during Nyepi continues to grow more creative, one of which is presented by Noema Pererenan through an art retreat program titled “Portal of Silence.”
The exclusive program will take place from March 18 to March 20, 2026, in the Pererenan area of Bali. Through this concept, guests are invited to experience Nyepi not merely as a day without activities, but as a moment to rest creatively while reconnecting with themselves.

Embracing the philosophy that silence is not simply the absence of sound but a space for mental clarity, Noema offers a carefully curated stay designed to bring both tranquility and inspiration.
One of the program’s main highlights is the presence of resident artists who will guide guests in an exclusive art workshop during Nyepi Day. In this session, artists Andre Yoga and Asti Surya will invite participants to channel their creativity through artistic activities held in an intimate and reflective atmosphere.
Director of Marketing of JHL Collection, Kay Tadjoedin, said the program was designed to allow guests to truly experience the essence of Nyepi in a peaceful and inspiring environment.
“We want our guests to feel the magic of Nyepi Day within the serenity of our space, where every detail invites them to slow down their pace of life,” she said.
She added that the presence of artists in the program aims to open a deeper space for reflection for guests.
“By welcoming artists like Andre and Asti, we create a space for guests to look inward, express their creativity, and truly immerse themselves in the silence,” she added.
The retreat experience begins on Pengerupukan Day, the evening before Nyepi, where guests will enjoy front-row access to witness the traditional Ogoh-ogoh parade around the Pererenan area. The vibrant atmosphere provides a striking contrast before entering the total silence of Nyepi Day.
The “Portal of Silence” staycation package is available for two nights from March 18–20, 2026, with booking open until March 18, 2026.
Guests can choose between two room types:
• Tropical Studio priced at IDR 5,716,000 net for two people
• Imagi Suite priced at IDR 8,494,000 net for three adults or two adults and two children under 12 years old
The package includes various exclusive experiences such as two nights’ accommodation, daily breakfast, curated lunch and dinner, an art workshop on Nyepi Day, and access to watch the Ogoh-ogoh parade on Pengerupukan night.
