Badung Regent I Wayan Adi Arnawa, accompanied by Deputy Regent Bagus Alit Sucipta, took center stage at the Badung DPRD’s plenary session on Monday (Aug 11), delivering his explanation of the 2026 General Budget Policy (KUA) and the Revised Temporary Budget Priorities and Ceilings (PPAS). The session also covered the draft bylaw on amendments to the 2025 Regional Budget (APBD).
The meeting, led by DPRD Chair I Gusti Anom Gumanti, gathered Badung’s legislative members, regional leadership coordination forum (Forkopimda), Regional Secretary IB Surya Suamba, leaders of vertical agencies, OPDs, and expert staff.
Regent Arnawa emphasized that the proposals reflected the real conditions and potential of Badung Regency. “Our main focus will be on infrastructure. We hope the council will share the same vision in improving our infrastructure. At the same time, waste management is another urgent issue. As I have often said, two things require our immediate attention—issues raised directly by tourists—traffic congestion and waste,” he noted.
He explained that the budget revisions were necessary to accommodate changes in priorities and needs arising during the ongoing 2025 fiscal year, including adjustments in revenue targets, spending priorities, and financing, as well as aligning with policies at the provincial and national levels.
“These adjustments also respond to Presidential Instruction No. 1 of 2025 on spending efficiency for national and regional budgets, and the Home Affairs Minister’s Circular No. 900/833/SJ on revenue adjustments and spending efficiency. With clear guidelines and active collaboration between the local government and DPRD, we aim to deliver a revised budget that is effective, transparent, and accountable—one that truly supports regional development,” Arnawa concluded.
