Ahead of the grand event of the Asian Senior Fencing Championship 2025, which will take place in Nusa Dua, Bali from June 17 to 23, 2025, the organizing committee continues to finalize various preparations.
As part of this effort, on Wednesday afternoon (7/5/2025), Chairman of PB IKASI, Amir Yanto, along with Vincent Tsui, Technical Delegate (DT) from the Fencing Confederation of Asia (FCA), conducted an on-site inspection at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali, which will serve as the main competition venue.
This visit not only focused on the readiness of the competition venue but also included a thorough check of technical, logistical, and accommodation preparedness. This is to ensure all participants, both athletes and officials, will have an optimal competition experience while enjoying the beauty of Bali to the fullest.
On this occasion, Amir Yanto expressed optimism and the committee’s readiness to welcome this prestigious international championship. “Our preparations are going according to plan, and we are very enthusiastic to welcome delegations from Asian countries to Bali. This championship is not just a sports competition but also a form of our support for the government’s program in advancing sport tourism and introducing Indonesia’s tourism charm, especially Bali, to all participating countries,” said Amir Yanto.
Furthermore, he added that all aspects, from transportation and comfortable accommodation to smooth competition logistics, have been thoroughly prepared. “We want participants to focus on the competition and also have the opportunity to enjoy the hospitality of Bali,” he said.
A total of 21 countries have confirmed their participation in the international event, which is expected to involve more than 800 athletes.
Meanwhile, Vincent Tsui appreciated Indonesia’s technical readiness. “From today’s inspection, I see that Indonesia has made very good preparations and meets international standards for hosting an international fencing championship. The venue at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali is very representative, the committee shows extraordinary readiness, and the essential technical needs have been fulfilled,” he said.
Full support for the Asian Senior Fencing Championship 2025 also comes from the Indonesian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC).
I Made Agus Dwiatmika, General Manager of The Nusa Dua, stated that ITDC is fully committed to supporting the championship by providing international-standard infrastructure and facilities in The Nusa Dua area, which has proven itself as a prime venue for global events.
