Seasalt at Alila Seminyak is celebrating its ninth anniversary as one of Bali’s favorite culinary destinations through a special collaboration titled “Cliff to Coast.” Held on May 16–17, 2026, the celebration brings together two iconic Alila hospitality destinations — Alila Villas Uluwatu and Seasalt at Alila Seminyak — in a dining experience that highlights local ingredients, charcoal grilling techniques, and Bali’s relaxed coastal atmosphere.
For nearly a decade, Seasalt has been known for its ingredient-driven cooking approach, emphasizing the quality of fresh ingredients and its close connection to the sea. The ninth anniversary moment is marked by a culinary experience that blends the distinctive characters of two destinations into one dining table.

The collaboration features Executive Chef Kadek Sugiantara from Alila Villas Uluwatu, presenting a selection of signature dishes rich in bold Indonesian flavors alongside grilled specialties that have become the hallmark of the clifftop resort. The culinary journey is further elevated by Chef Hazwan Hamdan of Seasalt Seminyak, whose approach reflects a deep understanding of the restaurant’s culinary philosophy.
The celebration began on May 16 with a sunset hour experience followed by an anniversary dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Set against the backdrop of Seminyak’s coastline at dusk, guests were treated to sunset bites and à la carte selections from Alila Villas Uluwatu, focusing on grilled seafood, local spices, and dishes designed for sharing.
Among the highlights were mixed satay selections featuring chicken satay, fish satay lilit, Wagyu M3 satay, and pork belly skewers, served with peanut sauce and a variety of sambals. The main courses continued the bold Indonesian flavor profile with grilled catch of the day served with Manado-style dabu-dabu sambal, as well as sweet soy-glazed pork ribs accompanied by curried cassava leaves and Chef Kadek Sugiantara’s signature “sambal setan.”
To conclude the dining experience, Seasalt served a coconut dessert in the form of Indonesian-style coconut caramel flan paired with rum and raisin ice cream. Guests were also able to enjoy Seasalt’s regular à la carte menu selections.
The celebration continued on May 17 with Seasalt’s iconic Coastal Brunch from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Guests enjoyed live grill stations featuring Uluwatu Signature selections, including Whole Grilled Seabass Dabu Dabu as one of the main highlights.
A variety of premium dishes were also featured, including fresh seafood on ice, dry-aged sashimi, seafood maki rolls, Wagyu short rib with Kalimantan black pepper, octopus laksa with vermicelli noodles, and grilled oysters. These were complemented by a range of Indonesian and Asian-inspired side dishes and salads.
The relaxed beachfront atmosphere was enhanced by live entertainment from Lamented Laughter, reflecting Seasalt’s calm, warm, and meaningful dining experience that has defined the venue since the beginning of its journey.
“For the past nine years, Seasalt has become a place guests continue to return to, not only because of the food, but also because of the atmosphere it creates,” said Dante Rossi, Director of Food & Beverage.

According to Rossi, celebrating the anniversary together with Alila Villas Uluwatu felt especially fitting, as both destinations share the same appreciation for local ingredients and culinary traditions.
The anniversary celebration began with the sunset hour and anniversary dinner at Seasalt on May 16, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., followed by the Coastal Brunch on May 17, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Coastal Brunch was offered at IDR 650,000++ per person. TS-01
