Deputy Regent Bagus Alit Sucipta Inspects Alas Pala Sangeh Tourist Attraction

Badung Deputy Regent Bagus Alit Sucipta, accompanied by the Chairwoman of WHDI Badung, Yunita Alit Sucipta, conducted a direct inspection at the site of a fallen tree incident at the Alas Pala Sangeh Tourist Attraction (DTW Alas Pala Sangeh), Abiansemal, on Thursday (Dec 4). The incident occurred at Pura Puncak Sari Sangeh within the tourist area, triggered by heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
Two local tour guides who were sheltering at a bale gong were struck by the falling nutmeg tree, resulting in one staff member passing away and another suffering a bone fracture and currently receiving intensive treatment at Mangusada Hospital.
Speaking after the inspection, Deputy Regent Bagus Alit Sucipta conveyed condolences on behalf of the Badung Regency Government to the family of the deceased DTW Alas Pala Sangeh staff member, while also wishing a speedy recovery to the injured victim.
“On behalf of the Badung Regency Government, the Regent and I extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family. May they be given strength and resilience. Once the body arrives at the Griya, we, together with members of the Badung DPRD, will visit the family. We also pray that the injured victim may recover soon and return to normal activities,” he said.
Deputy Regent Bagus Alit Sucipta also expressed appreciation to the Badung Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Badung Fire and Rescue Department, residents, and all parties involved in the evacuation and location clearing efforts.
“There are several structures in the outer, middle, and main courtyard areas of Pura Puncak Sari that were affected. I have instructed the Badung BPBD to immediately assess the damage so that follow-up assistance can be provided quickly. Our first priority is infrastructure—supporting the restoration of buildings, shrines, and pavilions impacted by the fallen tree. Afterward, we will reorganize the site, followed by Melaspas and other ceremonies. I also urge the public to remain vigilant against extreme weather conditions that may cause similar incidents,” he added.
Also present during the inspection were member of the Badung DPRD Dendy Astra Wijaya, heads of relevant regional government departments, Abiansemal Subdistrict Head IB Putu Mas Arimbawa together with the subdistrict leadership elements, Sangeh Village Head I Made Werdiana, Sangeh Traditional Leader Ida Bagus Dipayana, the Head of DTW Alas Pala Sangeh Management Ida Bagus Gede Pujawan and his staff, as well as residents of Sangeh Village.
