Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park is set to welcome 2026 through the “GWK Bali Countdown 2026”, not merely as a fireworks spectacle, but as a celebration highlighting inclusivity and mental wellbeing.
For the past five years, GWK’s New Year fireworks have been known as among the largest in Indonesia with thousands of fireworks launched at midnight. This year, the experience expands further with synchronized fireworks from three different points inside the venue, transforming the visual celebration into one of Bali’s most anticipated attractions for year-end visitors.
“Through GWK Bali Countdown 2026, we want to deliver a celebration that is not only spectacular but also meaningful—supporting MSMEs, creating space for disability communities, and providing counseling facilities as part of our concern for mental health,” said Ch. Rossie Andriani, Director of Operations of GWK Cultural Park.
Promoting Local Economy and Disability Inclusion
GWK partners with MyMelali X Pasar Keliling, running from 26 December 2025 to 3 January 2026, presenting hundreds of local micro and small enterprises. The celebration also allocates performance space for musicians with disabilities including Sunar Sanggita and a music school led by visually impaired instructors—part of the commemoration of Disability Month.
Mental Health Support for Visitors
Continuing last year’s initiative, GWK offers free counseling services in partnership with RSU Bali Jimbaran throughout the New Year’s Eve program. The service is intended to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere for visitors to enjoy the celebrations and seek professional support if needed.
Musical Line-up and Special Activities
The New Year’s festivities will be enlivened by Maliq & D’Essentials, Lomba Sihir, Whisnu Santika, Lolot, Navicula, and Duo Giga as hosts. Visitors can also enjoy limited-edition GWK coins along with special New Year culinary packages prepared by Jendela Bali Resto & Lounge. TS-01
