Deputy Regent of Badung, Bagus Alit Sucipta, attended the Piodalan, Melaspas Ngenteg Linggih, and Mendem Pedagingan ceremonies at Pura Batan Jepun Putih, Banjar Pengubengan Kangin, Kerobokan Kelod, North Kuta, Badung, on Monday, March 10, 2025. The ceremony, led by Jero Dukuh Upalaka Darma from Griya Peguyangan, was also attended by members of the Badung Regional House of Representatives, including Made Surya Nanda Pramana, North Kuta Subdistrict Head Putu Eka Parmana, Kerobokan Kelod Village Head Made Wisatawan, and the temple’s caretakers.
As a form of support and commitment from the Badung Regency Government, Deputy Regent Alit Sucipta symbolically handed over a Rp. 900 million grant from the 2024 main budget and a personal donation of Rp. 10 million, received by temple representative I Made Pasti.
In his speech, Deputy Regent Bagus Alit Sucipta expressed his gratitude for being able to attend and witness the sacred ceremony. “I feel grateful to be present at the Melaspas ceremony at Pura Batan Jepun Putih. I hope this event goes smoothly and brings blessings. This grant is proof of the love that the Regent and Deputy Regent of Badung (2015-2025) have for the people of Badung. It aligns with our government’s program to not only ease the community’s burden but also preserve Bali’s customs and culture,” he said.
The head of the ceremony committee, I Nengah Pursa, expressed his gratitude to the Badung Regency Government for supporting the construction of the temple’s shrines. “We sincerely thank the Badung Regency Government for assisting through the 2024 main budget grant. Thanks to this support, the shrines at Pura Batan Jepun Putih have been completed as we envisioned, providing a comfortable place of worship for future generations. We hope the Deputy Regent continues to perform his duties well and that the community prospers,” he stated. TS-01
