According to Savis Tea Head Manager, Novi, met on site, her party wanted to give a memorable experience to tea lovers attending this special event. Including foreign tourists staying at The Mulia Resort & Villa. What’s also interesting, Novi continued, was the launch of the ‘Bali Series’ product in this moment. This product consists of 8 items that depict the nuances of travel in 8 famous tourist destinations on the island of Bali, each with its own uniqueness. Each product is named Kuta Paradise, Sacred Uluwatu, Lovina Lagoon, Royal Ubud, Sanur Breeze, Tirta Gangga, Seminyak Sunset, and Exotic Kintamani.
This product utilizes the uniqueness or local wisdom found in these destinations with the diversity of culture and biological wealth there. “By enjoying the Bali Series products we hope it can evoke a longing for tourists to return to visit Bali. Besides that we also want to bring Indonesian local tea to the international stage through the Bali Series,” she hoped. Novi admitted that she is optimistic Indonesian Tea can penetrate the international scene, especially since Indonesia is the 6th largest tea producer in the world. “However, the Indonesian market is still dominated by foreign tea brands. So this is our homework now. One of them is to educate the market and consumers to choose Indonesian tea,” she urged. Bali, she continued, is a very potential tea market. Currently, nationally the percentage reaches 30-40 percent. She admitted that the way tea is utilized by society is still minimal, namely by brewing or adding ice. Whereas tea can also be processed as cocktails and mocktails and other varied drinks. TS-01
