The development of The Mandalika area is not solely focused on infrastructure and international-scale events, but also on reinforcing the social and spiritual values of the community. This was emphasized by InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) through its “Berkah Ramadan Seru 2026” program in welcoming Ramadan 1447 H.
The program, held throughout the holy month, is part of ITDC’s efforts to build The Mandalika’s image as a world-class tourism destination that remains rooted in the cultural and religious values of the local community.
PGS. General Manager of The Mandalika, Agus Setiawan, stated that a tourism area must grow harmoniously with its surrounding social environment.
“The Mandalika is not merely a leading destination, but also a shared space that provides tangible benefits to the community. Through this Ramadan initiative, we want to affirm that the development of the area aligns with values of care and spirituality,” he said on Friday (Feb 20, 2026).
The series of activities includes the distribution of takjil (light meals for breaking the fast) at several locations within the area, such as Bazaar Mandalika, Kuta Beach Park, and Tanjung Aan Beach. ITDC also organized a Mosque Safari by visiting mosques and prayer rooms in seven buffer villages as a platform for strengthening ties and fostering dialogue with the community.
The reinforcement of religious values was also realized through collaboration with the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Central Lombok Regency in organizing the Ramadan 1447 H religious lectures at Nurul Bilad Mosque, The Mandalika. The month-long program features several Tuan Guru and Islamic scholars as speakers.
In addition, ITDC distributed basic food packages and provided donations to community members and orphans in the buffer villages. The Ramadan agenda will also include a Tabligh Akbar (grand religious gathering) at Nurul Bilad Mosque in the second week of March 2026, featuring TGB Muhammad Zainul Majdi as the keynote speaker.
As a closing event for the Ramadan series, ITDC, in collaboration with Pujut Subdistrict and the local community, will hold a takbir parade to welcome Eid al-Fitr 1447 H in The Mandalika area.
Through this program, ITDC reaffirms that The Mandalika is being developed not only as a center of economic growth and tourism, but also as an area that upholds the community’s social, cultural, and spiritual values.TS-01
