The 24th Anniversary of KSP Subhakti Ungasan (Subhakti Ungasan Savings and Loan Cooperative) was more than just a ceremonial celebration. It became a milestone for the cooperative to accelerate its transformation through innovation while strengthening the role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The celebration, which began with a fun walk, received an enthusiastic response from members and the surrounding community. Among those attending were representatives from the Bali Provincial Office of Cooperatives and SMEs, the Bali Regional Board of the Indonesian Cooperative Council (Dekopinwil Bali), Puskop Jagaditha Badung, supervisors, management, business partners, cooperative members, and local residents.
Chairman of KSP Subhakti Ungasan, I Made Suanda Wisnaya, said that the central theme of the 24th anniversary was Evolution, Reform, and Revolution. According to him, as the cooperative matures, it must embrace changes in mindset, work systems, and services to remain relevant in today’s rapidly evolving economy.
“As we grow older, we must continue doing better. Evolution, reform, and revolution are the spirit that drives us to keep changing and progressing,” Suanda Wisnaya said during the anniversary celebration at Ungasan Village Field on Sunday (July 26, 2026).
He emphasized that KSP Subhakti is no longer focused solely on savings and loan services as its core business. The cooperative is now expanding its role in the real sector by empowering MSMEs to grow and move up the value chain in the modern economy. He believes cooperatives should serve as solution providers rather than merely financing institutions.
Currently, KSP Subhakti Ungasan has approximately 3,600 core members, while around 13,000 people utilize its services across Badung Regency, Denpasar City, Tabanan Regency, and Gianyar Regency. These services are supported by eight branch offices.
Suanda explained that the cooperative’s ongoing transformation aims to modernize conventional services, enabling more people to benefit from cooperative-based economic development.
“We want KSP Subhakti to become even stronger in building a people’s economy through MSMEs. Most importantly, cooperatives must deliver real benefits to both members and the wider community,” he said.
Throughout its transformation, KSP Subhakti continues to uphold four core values: Spirituality, Giving, Transparency, and Education.
The spiritual value serves as the foundation for honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness. The concept of Giving reflects the cooperative’s commitment to creating the greatest possible benefits for society. Transparency is the cornerstone of building members’ trust, while Education equips human resources with the skills needed to adapt to changing times.
“These four core values are the key to our continued growth and success,” Suanda stressed.
The 24th anniversary celebration was lively, attracting thousands of members and community participants. Activities included a fun walk, Zumba sessions, senior fitness exercises, a low-cost basic necessities bazaar, free health check-ups, affordable motorcycle servicing, a performance by the SD 7 Ungasan marching band, comedy entertainment, and a grand prize drawing.
As a token of appreciation for members and the community, the organizing committee prepared numerous prizes, with a motorcycle as the grand prize.
The rapid transformation and impressive growth achieved by KSP Subhakti at the age of 24 also received praise from Dewa Ketut Raka Dharmana, Head of the Cooperative Institutional and Empowerment Division at the Bali Provincial Office of Cooperatives and SMEs, and I Gede Indra Dewa Putra, Vice Chairman of the Bali Regional Board of the Indonesian Cooperative Council (Dekopinwil Bali), both of whom attended the event.
They commended the innovations introduced by Chairman Suanda Wisnaya and the management team, particularly in expanding the cooperative’s role in supporting MSMEs.
Both officials expressed optimism that within the next five years, KSP Subhakti Ungasan would be able to broaden its network by opening branches in other provinces across Indonesia.
They also hope that as the cooperative celebrates its 25th anniversary next year, it will introduce even more innovations to further strengthen its position as an adaptive, modern, and community-oriented economic institution. TS-01
