Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) is expanding its appeal to Indonesian travelers through the transformation of RWS 2.0. The 49-hectare integrated resort on Sentosa Island, Singapore, brings together world-class attractions, luxury hotels, dining, entertainment, and lifestyle experiences within a single destination.
The concept allows travelers to enjoy a wide range of activities without having to move between different destinations. Attractions, accommodation, dining, and leisure experiences are all available within the integrated resort.
First introduced in 2019, RWS 2.0 marks a new chapter in the evolution of Resorts World Sentosa. The transformation expands the resort while introducing new experiences designed to encourage travelers to stay longer and explore more.
Key additions to the transformation include Illumination’s Minion Land at Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium, WEAVE as the latest lifestyle destination, and The Laurus, a Luxury Collection Resort.
Overall, these new destinations strengthen RWS’s position as a holiday destination and integrated resort in Singapore. The transformation can be experienced across various parts of the resort through new attractions, accommodation, dining, entertainment, and lifestyle experiences.

New Attractions Expand Travelers’ Choices
At Universal Studios Singapore, Illumination’s Minion Land officially opened in February 2025. The themed area consists of three zones: Minion Marketplace, Gru’s Neighborhood, and Super Silly Fun Land.
Together, they offer attractions, entertainment, dining, and merchandise inspired by the Despicable Me and Minions franchises.
Meanwhile, Singapore Oceanarium marks a new chapter in RWS’s marine tourism offering by combining living habitats, ocean stories, digital innovation, and interactive technology.
Three times larger than its previous facility, Singapore Oceanarium provides visitors with more space to explore marine and ocean life in greater depth.
The immersive experience includes a multisensory journey that takes visitors through the evolution of marine life. The journey begins with a unique representation of Singapore’s coastal ecosystems before moving into the deep ocean, much of which remains largely unexplored.
Singapore Oceanarium’s role as a marine education hub is further strengthened by its Research and Learning Centre. The facility provides dedicated spaces for research, conservation, education, and community engagement.
WEAVE Brings Together Retail, Dining and Lifestyle
Another major addition to the RWS 2.0 transformation is WEAVE. The lifestyle destination brings together design, retail, dining, nature, and art in a dynamic setting that reflects Singapore’s character.
WEAVE is home to several concepts making their market debut, including Pierre Hermé Paris, recently named the World’s Best Pastry Shop by La Liste 2026, as well as Moutarde and Sundae Royale by Michelin-starred chef Paul Pairet, and Dopamine Land.
These concepts give visitors more opportunities to discover different and unique experiences in Singapore.
WEAVE is also home to Asia’s first Din Tai Fung cocktail bar concept, South Korea’s Standard Bread’s first international outlet, and Singapore’s first COACH Coffee Shop, which combines fashion and café culture.
Other highlights include the premium tank-to-tap brewery, social club, and dining destination People People Brewing Co; Southeast Asia’s first POP BAKERY by POP MART; WeWa, offering halal-certified Middle Eastern street food; and Starbucks’ first Bearista-themed store in Southeast Asia.
The life-sized Bearista creates a fun atmosphere for visitors to take photos and explore. Guests can also find a dedicated bar where they can have their names engraved on tumblers.
Together, these concepts complement the diverse mix of retail and experiences at WEAVE.
Beyond its new concepts, WEAVE’s design is also an important part of the visitor experience. The destination spans three interconnected floors covering more than 20,000 square meters.
WEAVE is rooted in Singapore’s dynamic identity while providing a new canvas for local, regional, and global brands.
The atmosphere of a tropical island city is reflected in its combination of landscaped green spaces, rows of asymmetrical shops, outdoor relaxation areas, and open-air corridors. The concept creates a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Through this concept, WEAVE gives visitors the opportunity to discover a variety of new offerings while enjoying a distinctive and immersive experience at RWS.
Encouraging Longer Stays
The RWS 2.0 transformation is also reflected in its accommodation options. The variety of choices allows travelers to make the resort their primary base for longer holidays in Singapore.
RWS offers a range of accommodation options, including Crockfords Tower, Equarius Hotel, Equarius Villas, Hotel Michael, Hotel Ora, and its newest property, The Laurus, a Luxury Collection Resort.
Opened in October 2025, The Laurus is The Luxury Collection’s first property in Singapore, offering 183 suite-category accommodations.
As part of Marriott International’s portfolio of more than 30 hotel brands, the resort is designed to feel like a second home for guests, combining cultural heritage, nature, and luxury.
Designed by renowned architecture firm P49 Deesign on a site spanning more than 7,650 square meters, The Laurus draws on Singapore’s colonial heritage, tropical landscapes, and biodiversity to create a distinctive character.
In addition to its 183 suites, guests can enjoy Laurus Table, a restaurant serving sustainable cuisine with regional flavors. Other facilities include a spa, fitness center, lush swimming pool, and a sensory garden rich in biodiversity.
“We believe memorable travel experiences can also create meaningful moments of togetherness, giving every visitor something to look forward to. As we continue to welcome travelers from Indonesia and the surrounding region, RWS continues to evolve to offer more experiences for families, friends, and travelers across generations.
“From new discoveries and immersive attractions to quality service, world-class dining, and entertainment, we want every visitor to find new reasons to explore, connect, and create memories at RWS,” said Chen Si, Chief Operating Officer, RWS.

Year-Round Festivals Add More Reasons to Visit
In addition to attractions available throughout the year, RWS’s event calendar continues to expand with a variety of seasonal experiences. These programs provide more activity options as well as new reasons for travelers to return.
From September 1 to November 1, 2026, the Festival of Thrills brings a series of experiences across the resort. The program includes immersive entertainment, Halloween experiences, family-friendly activities, lifestyle experiences, and dining options.
Travelers can look forward to Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 14, Into the Glowcean at Singapore Oceanarium featuring the oceanarium’s first Silent Disco, a motorsport-themed experience at WEAVE, and various other attractions.
The seasonal program offers experiences for visitors of different ages and generations, ranging from horror and thrill experiences to dining, motorsport, and family-friendly activities.
Amid the development of these experiences and programs, sustainability remains an important part of RWS’s development.
Various sustainability practices are being implemented across the resort’s development and operations as part of its ambition to become a carbon-neutral destination by 2030.
As one of RWS’s three key markets, Indonesia remains an important market for Resorts World Sentosa.
Through RWS 2.0, attractions, services, lifestyle experiences, dining, and entertainment are brought together within a single integrated resort. The concept allows Indonesian travelers to enjoy more of Singapore’s experiences within a single trip.
Whether traveling with family, friends, or across generations, guests can tailor their stay according to their individual interests and discover a variety of new experiences at Resorts World Sentosa. TS-01
