An unidentified body of a man was found inside a resident’s water tank, at the rooftop of their home, located in Pondok Ayanakhu Jl.Bypass Ngurah Rai Jimbaran on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
The owner of the house, Nyoman Predangga reported the incident to the National Search and Rescue Agency, around 01:45PM. The body was suspected to be that of a foreigner.
The coordinator of the rescue team in the location, Bayu Arya Wiraga said that the man’s body was first found when the owner of the house went to fix the water tank that was supposedly broken. “When found, the body wasn’t wearing any clothes, and the water within the tank was empty, so we decided to do an assessment before evacuating,” He added.
The rescue team then evacuated the victim’s body by lowering it down, taking turns while doing so. “The access was narrow, so we had to be careful while lowering the man’s body since we were also high up,” he explained. Meanwhile, the Head of the Class A Search and Rescue Office in Denpasar, I Nyoman Sidakarya, stated that the entire evacuation process went smoothly and safely.
“For the cause of the incident, it is still being investigated by the relevant authorities. The man’s body was then evacuated to Prof. Ngoerah Hospital,” he says.
He added that he expressed his gratitude to all members of the joint SAR team who assisted in the evacuation process. TS-01
