After five years of planning and development, Nuanu Creative City has officially opened, marking a new chapter for Bali as a hub of creativity and sustainability in Southeast Asia. Spanning 44 hectares on Tabanan’s southwest coast, Nuanu is not just a tourist destination but a creative city where people can live, learn, create, and play.
“Our journey began from our love for Bali,” said Lev Kroll, CEO of Nuanu. “Today, we are proud to invite the public to experience Nuanu—a blend of nature, art, culture, and innovation growing hand in hand with the community.”
A Living Space for Art, Nature, and Community
Nuanu is designed as a living ecosystem, featuring cultural venues, culinary hubs, natural landscapes, and residential spaces. From the very first phase, several icons have already emerged, including Earth Sentinels by artist Daniel Popper and THK Tower, a collaborative architectural work celebrating the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana.
The city also introduces Luna Beach Club, Aurora Media Park, Labyrinth Art Gallery, and the Magic Garden with its butterfly breeding program—making Nuanu a home for art, entertainment, and environmental conservation.

Social and Environmental Impact
Since 2023, the Nuanu Social Fund (NSF) has distributed more than IDR 4.1 billion to support education, culture, health, and the environment. Thousands of Balinese have benefited from programs ranging from temple restoration and gamelan training to women’s empowerment and sustainable farming.
Its environmental impact is equally significant:
• 95% recycling rate
• 114,700 trees and plants cultivated
• 12,000 butterflies released into nature
• 3,300 orchids preserved
“Nuanu is a community for the community, growing alongside the people of Bali,” said Ida Ayu Astari Prada, Brand & Communications Director.
Towards Southeast Asia’s Creative Epicenter
The opening of this first phase is only the beginning. Looking ahead, Nuanu has lined up major events including the FOTO Bali Festival (an international photography festival), Art & Bali (a global art fair), and Nuanu Future Talks, a dialogue platform for developers, government, and local communities.
Lifestyle and gastronomy also take center stage. In 2026, Acadia, a Moroccan-inspired culinary hub, and Desa Jiwa, a fashion village, are set to open. The Eugene Museum, led by renowned international artist Eugene Kangawa, is also scheduled to welcome the public.
Bali, the Main Inspiration
In his opening remarks, a representative of the Bali Provincial Government reaffirmed full support for Nuanu’s presence. “We hope Nuanu will contribute to tourism, environmental preservation, culture, and the welfare of the Balinese people,” said Dr. I Wayan Ekadina, Expert Staff to the Governor of Bali for Economy and Finance.
With its philosophy of “responsible development”, Nuanu Creative City demonstrates that investment can go hand in hand with cultural preservation and environmental stewardship. For Bali, Nuanu represents more than just a project—it is the new face of an island sustained by creativity and community spirit.
