Rotary Club District 3420 officially inaugurated the Rotary Club of Bali Kusuma Bangsa in a ceremony held at The Sea Side Bar and Restaurant, Sanur, Denpasar. The inauguration was led by District Governor (DG) 3420, Diah Anggraeni, and attended by Rotary members from various clubs across Bali.
In addition to the new club inauguration, Rotary Club Bali Jimbaran also inducted four new members, bringing its total membership to 27.
A New Club Added in Bali
DG Diah Anggraeni described the inauguration of Rotary Club of Bali Kusuma Bangsa as an important milestone, as it increases the number of Rotary Clubs in Bali to 23. She expressed her appreciation for the new club, which has successfully recruited a significant number of members.
“With the establishment of Rotary Club of Bali Kusuma Bangsa, we hope to see humanitarian projects in the fields of education, health, and economic development. This club is also expected to collaborate with other clubs to strengthen Rotary’s contributions in Bali,” said Diah.
She emphasized that the formation of Rotary Club of Bali Kusuma Bangsa would not have been possible without the sponsorship of Rotary Club Bali Jimbaran.
“I also hope that Wayan Tur Adnyana, who will serve as DG 3420 for the 2026–2027 term, will continue to advance this priority program,” she added.

25 New Members Registered with Rotary International
Rotary Club of Bali Kusuma Bangsa was inaugurated with 25 new members who are now officially registered with Rotary International. Out of 42 applicants, only 25 passed the selection process and committed to becoming active members.
The initial board of management was established as follows:
• I Ketut Widia Astika – Charter President
• I Made Korna – Secretary
• Ni Wayan Santi – Treasurer
• I Made Widiana – Foundation Chair
The club was sponsored by District Governor Elect (DGE) I Wayan Tur Adnyana from Rotary Club Bali Jimbaran.

Rotary: An Open and Inclusive Organization
On the occasion, Diah Anggraeni reiterated that Rotary is an inclusive organization that does not discriminate based on religion, traditions, culture, or race.
“We all stand on equal ground, regardless of rank or position. Unless one is mandated to lead the club, they are referred to as the president. Above the president is the Assistant Governor, and the highest position is the District Governor,” she explained.
Currently, Indonesia has two Rotary districts: District 3410 and District 3420. District 3420 oversees 61 Rotary Clubs, while Bali itself has 21 clubs with a total membership of over 1,200 as of August 2025, including the newly inaugurated Rotary Club of Bali Kusuma Bangsa.

Appreciation for Sponsors and Future Hopes
DGE I Wayan Tur Adnyana expressed his gratitude to all members who joined the Rotary Club of Bali Kusuma Bangsa.
“Hopefully, this marks a strong beginning for District 3420. We hope for continued moral, spiritual, and material support so Rotary International’s programs can be sustained,” he said.
He also emphasized the importance of inter-club collaboration in addressing humanitarian challenges.

Focus on Education and Health
Charter President of Rotary Club of Bali Kusuma Bangsa, I Ketut Widia Astika, stated that the club would prioritize programs in education.
“Education has a tremendous impact on society, and Rotary Club of Bali Kusuma Bangsa seeks to play a strategic role in this area, alongside health and economic development,” said the former Head of the Badung Education, Youth, and Sports Office.
Similarly, Nora Aprilita, District Membership Chair, expressed hope that the new club’s presence would inspire the community through humanitarian initiatives carried out by its members.
Assistant Governors (AG) Barbara Purwa and Putu Indra also welcomed the establishment of Rotary Club of Bali Kusuma Bangsa, which currently has 42 members.
“With most of its members coming from educational backgrounds, we believe this club will help many children and advance literacy in Indonesia,” said Barbara.
