Ahead of the sacred silence of Nyepi Day, around 200 guests from various countries gathered at Bambu Indah in Ubud for an intimate gathering titled The Last Echoes.
According to Citra Suriah, Corporate Director of Marketing Bambu Indah, Green Village Bali & The Kul Kul Farm the event served as a meaningful celebration that blended music, nature, relaxation, and reflection—marking the final night before Bali enters its 24-hour island-wide silence.
Held on March 7, 2026, The Last Echoes offered a spiritual and artistic experience aligned with the philosophy of Nyepi, symbolizing the transition from activity and expression toward introspection and renewal. Guests were invited to experience the gradually slowing energy of Bali before the island completely pauses—without travel, lights, or entertainment—for a full day.

Located in a lush river valley in Sayan, Bambu Indah was chosen as the venue for its nature-integrated design and strong commitment to sustainability. Founded by John and Cynthia Hardy, the resort combines antique Javanese bridal houses with innovative bamboo architecture and natural spring pools that blend seamlessly with the surrounding river valley landscape.
Guests began arriving in the afternoon, enjoying the resort’s tranquil atmosphere and wellness facilities, including a sauna, ice bath, copper hot tub, and natural spring pools. Light culinary offerings and beverages were available throughout the property, while ambient soundscapes supported the evening’s calm and reflective mood.
The night continued with a series of musical performances that created a meditative atmosphere. The opening performance featured Agustian, a multi-instrumentalist from Sumatra who wove together traditional instruments and chants to create a deeply calming soundscape.

The atmosphere then evolved through a collaborative performance by Sophie Sofree and Raio, blending soft electronic elements with live instrumentation to form a collective rhythm that encouraged guests to fully immerse themselves in the moment.
Closing the evening, Onanya delivered an intimate musical journey inspired by African and Middle Eastern influences, guiding guests through a rich and immersive sonic experience.
The highlight of the night took place when guests were guided to the Island area of Bambu Indah to take part in the final fire ceremony, led by Anna Maria. The ritual symbolized the gentle transition toward Nyepi, marking the shift from music, gathering, and expression into the sacred silence that will envelop the entire island.
The peaceful atmosphere of the night—combined with music and shared reflection—created a meaningful experience that connected guests from around the world in a quiet and intimate community.

As the evening came to a close, guests departed Bambu Indah carrying the soft resonance of The Last Echoes, preparing to enter the sacred silence of Nyepi that soon blankets the island of Bali. TS-01
