According to him, beach cleanliness is a key factor in attracting tourists, as natural beauty and culture are the main attractions of tourism in Badung.
“As a leading tourism destination, the cleanliness and comfort of our beaches must be a priority. I appreciate the steps taken by Satpol PP in initiating this activity and hope it will continue as a collective effort to preserve the environment,” said Adi Arnawa on Saturday morning.
Adi Arnawa reaffirmed his commitment to managing the coastal areas in Badung Regency, particularly in strategic locations such as Kuta, Canggu, Jimbaran, Kedonganan, and the surrounding areas. Various measures have been planned to improve the quality of the coastal zones, including sand replenishment, pedestrian pathway development, and the reorganization of cafes and tourism facilities to make them more aesthetically pleasing and comfortable for visitors.
Beyond physical improvements, the Regent from Pecatu Village also emphasized the importance of better waste management. He stressed that beach cleanliness is not solely the government’s responsibility but also requires active participation from business actors and the local community.
“I do not want to see Badung appear unkempt due to waste. The government will allocate special funding to address this issue, but public awareness and participation remain the keys to success,” explained the former Badung Regional Secretary.
To support the local economy, the Badung Regency Government will also strengthen the presence of culinary MSMEs in coastal areas. The Regent emphasized that local cuisine remains an essential part of the tourism appeal, but it must be better organized to provide a comfortable experience for tourists.
Additionally, efforts to revitalize beach areas will be accompanied by increased supervision of tourism destinations. Evaluating the role of the Badung Tourism Police (PolPar) is also part of the government’s agenda to ensure security and order in tourism areas. Adi Arnawa hopes that the momentum of Satpol PP’s anniversary will serve as a starting point for ongoing efforts to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of Badung’s beaches.
“I invite all community members to take part in creating a clean, organized, and comfortable environment for the sustainability of the tourism sector throughout Badung Regency,” he concluded. TS-01
